Oliva market is held every Friday from 8:00 to 14:00 on the Passeig Lluís Vives, Passeig Jaume I and Passeig Alcalde Juan Sancho, beside the municipal market hall, with around 160 stalls. It is the biggest market near Gandía, 8.7 km away.

There are stalls of fruit and vegetables, pickles, spices, honey, cured meats and bakery goods; on the non-food side, clothing, footwear, bags, costume jewellery, accessories and household items.

The stalls spread across several wide promenades in the centre. It gets busier towards mid-morning, so go early for more choice. If the Friday is a public holiday the market is brought forward to the Thursday, and it can also change day when another event takes over the promenades.

It is not the same as the summer beach markets, which have their own days and hours: Oliva beach has one on Sunday evenings.
