Calpe market is held every Saturday from 8:00 to 13:30, with 169 stalls, and it is one of the liveliest weekly markets in the Marina Alta. It is set out in two areas: Avenida de Rumanía, which is closed to traffic while the market is on, and the Calle Petit car park, next to the old town, where the food section goes.

Avenida de Rumanía has the wider offer: men's, women's and children's fashion, sportswear and swimwear, lingerie, shoes, bags, costume jewellery and accessories, household textiles, crockery and porcelain, small decorative items, plants and flowers, cleaning products, crafts, cured meats, preserves, pastries and churros. The fresh fruit and vegetables are in the Calle Petit section.

Used goods may not be sold here: that is the business of the Calpe flea market, on Wednesdays on Avenida del País Valencià.

If the Saturday falls on a public holiday the market moves to the previous working day, and during the week of the October fiestas to the Friday or the working day before. The council can also cancel it on a given Saturday for reasons of public interest or traffic, with no move to another day. Take cash, because not every stall accepts cards or Bizum, and go before 13:00: by then many stalls are packing up.
