Gandía market is held every Saturday from 8:30 to 14:00 on the Passeig de les Germanies, in the town centre, with 121 stalls. It is one of the largest in the Safor.
The stalls run along the promenade between Calle Sant Pere and the Plaça de les Fonts. Textiles and footwear are the biggest block — new and second-hand clothing, accessories and costume jewellery — alongside food: fruit and vegetables, cured meats, pickles, spices, health foods and churros. There are also plants, hardware and household goods. The fruit is at the end of the promenade facing the mountain.
Deliveries are allowed until 8:30, when trading starts, and the site is cleared by 15:00. It is not held when the Saturday falls on an official public holiday, and there is no alternative day.
The market used to be held at the fairground, beside the river Serpis, before it moved to its present site. For fresh produce on a Sunday, the town's other big one is the Gandía beach market.
