Llucmajor has a market three days a week: Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, from 7 am to 1 pm, in Plaça Espanya, with stalls selling fruit, vegetables and food.
Friday is the big day. The square's market is joined by the craft and bric-a-brac stalls of Carrer del Bisbe Taixequet and the second-hand stretch of Passeig de Jaume III, and the centre fills up.
It is one of the island's most historic markets: the royal privilege authorising the weekly market was granted by Emperor Charles V in 1543.
