Markets in Mallorca

Mallorca has a market every day of the week, spread across 46 towns. Santanyí opens on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm with around 150 stalls; Alcúdia on Tuesdays and Sundays from 8 am to 1.30 pm with around 450; Pollença on Sundays from 9 am to 1.30 pm with around 300; and Son Servera on Fridays from 8.15 am to 3 pm with around 200.

The biggest of all is Santa Maria del Camí, on Sundays from 8 am to 2 pm with around 500 stalls. During the week the large ones are Manacor on Monday, Artà on Tuesday, Sineu and Andratx on Wednesday and Inca on Thursday; on the coast, Cala Ratjada and Sóller are on Saturday and Porto Cristo on Sunday. In Palma, the Pere Garau market opens on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 am to 2 pm, and Son Ferriol on Saturday mornings.

For second-hand goods and antiques there are eleven markets. The two biggest fall on a Sunday and are less than four kilometres apart: the Rastro de Consell, with around 300 stalls, and the Santa Maria del Camí market itself. Then come Son Bugadelles in Calvià on Saturdays, the Son Fuster flea market in Palma, and those of Inca, Felanitx, Sencelles and Maria de la Salut.

From May to October the night markets open. Calvià runs four — Santa Ponça, Peguera, Palmanova and Magaluf — from 1 May to 15 October; Port d'Alcúdia and Port de Pollença open from June to September; and Cala Ratjada has its own on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 pm to 11 pm.
