Pollença market is one of the most emblematic in Mallorca. Every Sunday from 9 am to 1.30 pm, the Plaça Major and the narrow streets of the old town fill with stalls, often with live music adding to the atmosphere. The market is not held when it coincides with the town's patron saint festivities.
You will find local produce — fresh fruit and vegetables, the much-praised olives, cheese, cured meats, artisan bread and ensaimadas — alongside genuine Mallorcan crafts: ceramics, palm-leaf baskets and handwoven textiles. There are also stalls with clothes, shoes, leather bags and costume jewellery.
Arrive early: from mid-morning the market gets crowded and the free parking areas on the edge of town fill up fast. The centre is largely pedestrianised, so leave the car outside and walk in. Bus lines 301, 322, 321 and 231 connect Pollença with the rest of the island. If you have time, climb the 365 steps of the Calvari.

Yes. Port de Pollença has its own market every Wednesday from 9 am to 1.30 pm in Plaça Miquel Capllonch, with around 200 stalls. In summer (June to September) there are also night markets there.
Where can you park for the market?

There is free parking on the edge of town, for example on Carrer Dones de Can Sales, to the east. Arrive before 10 – 10.30 am: after that, finding a space gets very hard. The town centre is mostly pedestrianised.
