Sant Llorenç des Cardassar market is held on Thursday mornings, from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm, in Plaça de l'Església and Carrer Major. It runs all year round.

The town council calls it Gastromarket, a gastronomic and socio-cultural market: local fruit and vegetables, organic produce, local crafts, jewellery and clothes. On some Thursdays in May and September there is live music among the stalls, and the fish stall takes a break during the hot months.

It is a market with centuries behind it: the history of Sant Llorenç market goes back to the 14th century. When the Thursday falls during the August fiestas it is not cancelled but moved between Carrer Major and Plaça de la Solidaritat.

In summer the same council runs the evening markets on the coast: Sa Coma on Wednesdays and s'Illot on Tuesdays.
