Roses market is held on Sundays and splits into two areas, each with its own hours: the food section, on the square beside the covered market, from 8:00 to 13:30; and the clothing and accessories section, around the Ciutadella — Maria Benlliure, Doctor Ferran, Doctor Arruga, Ronda de Miquel Oliva Prat and Carrer de València — from 9:00 to 13:30. Between them they add up to around 220 stalls, among the largest in the north of Girona province.

The food area has fruit and vegetables from the surrounding district, cured meats, honey, nuts and bread, with several stalls run by the growers themselves. The Ciutadella area brings together clothing, footwear, bags, hats, sunglasses, underwear and beach towels, along with household goods, toys and decorations. Churro, sandwich and hot food stalls set up at the entrances.

In high season, Sunday fills up with people from the Empordà, French holidaymakers and visitors from the surrounding villages; the food area is usually easier to move around than the clothing one. Arriving before nine still leaves room on the free gravel car parks near the Ciutadella, which fill quickly.
