Blanes Fruit and Vegetable Market

It has two sets of hours depending on the season:

• From Easter to 15 October: Monday to Saturday, 8am to 3pm.

• The rest of the year: Monday to Friday 8am to 1pm, and Saturday 8am to 3pm.

On the Passeig de Dintre, next to the town hall and a few metres from the shore.

33 stalls, a figure confirmed by the Promoció de la Ciutat department of Blanes town council.

• Local fruit and vegetables: tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, beans, onions, potatoes and seasonal fruit from farms in the area, unpackaged and recently picked. Some stalls sell organic produce.

• Plants and flowers: herbs and cut flowers for the home.

• Artisan store cupboard: nuts, olives, pulses and artisan bread.

They are two different markets. This one is daily and agricultural: the comarca's growers sell direct, and the customers are mostly local.

The Monday market is the mercat setmanal dels teixits, far larger and general, and it is set up on the Passeig de Mar.

Before eleven, both for the choice and for the summer heat. Prices are displayed at most stalls.

The underground car park on the Passeig de Mar leaves the market fifty metres away and is the easiest option, as spaces at street level turn over slowly. Few stalls have a card reader: bring cash.
