Every Monday, 9am to 2pm, all year round.

On the Passeig de Mar, along the stretch from the end of Passeig de la Mestranca to Passeig Cortils i Vieta, next to the beach.

It is commonly placed on Passeig Cortils i Vieta alone, which is only one end of it: the mercat setmanal dels teixits runs the length of the promenade.

Around 159 stalls, among the largest on the Costa Brava.

The offer is general and falls into four blocks:

• Clothing and shoes: dresses, T-shirts, trousers, underwear, shoes, bags and seasonal accessories. This is the largest part.

• Fruit, vegetables and store cupboard: local produce, bread, nuts and preserves.

• Bazaar and homeware: kitchen goods, home textiles, tools, toys, cosmetics and costume jewellery.

• Food to go: churros, roast chicken and snacks.

Best to arrive between 9 and 9.30. From ten the promenade fills up and, in summer, the crowd comes on top of the heat.

Parking on the promenade itself fills early; the port area gives you more room. Bring cash, as not every stall takes cards, and keep an eye on your bag at peak times.
