Figueres Clothing Market

Figueres clothing market is held on Thursdays from 8:30 to 13:30 along the Passeig Nou and the Ronda del Parc, beside the municipal park. With more than a hundred stalls it is one of the busiest street markets in the Alt Empordà, and sitting less than twenty kilometres from the French border gives it a character of its own: a good share of the regulars come over from France, for whom Thursday in Figueres is a standing shopping trip.

Clothing dominates — T-shirts, trousers, dresses and underwear for adults, with a well-stocked children's section — followed by stalls of bags, sunglasses and costume jewellery. Household goods, kitchen basics and general bazar round out the route without ever matching the weight of clothing. Quality varies from stall to stall, so it is worth looking things over slowly and comparing between neighbouring pitches.

The area is pedestrianised and shaded by trees, so you can walk it without crowding. The same Thursday, the fruit and vegetable market is running on the Plaça del Gra, a few minutes away on foot.
