The Ibiza port market has been running since 1974 and is the largest and most traditional of the three the city council runs in town. It occupies the stretch of the harbour between Plaça d'Antoni Riquer and Plaça de sa Tertúlia, at the foot of the Marina quarter with Dalt Vila opposite, with 45 stalls.

What is sold

Local crafts, jewellery, costume jewellery and leatherwork. It is a market of small pieces and gifts, made for strolling rather than for a serious shop.

What the visit is like

It opens every day from April to October from five in the afternoon and keeps going until one or two in the morning, depending on the month and how busy it is. The best time is sunset, when the harbour fills up; after midnight the market shares the street with the crowd coming out of the Marina bars.
