Markets in Ibiza

There is a market somewhere in Ibiza every day of the year. The hippy markets are the island's trademark and the three historic ones are still going: Punta Arabi, in Es Canar, opens on Wednesdays and has done since 1973, and with more than 400 stalls it is the biggest; Las Dalias, on the Sant Carles road, opens on Saturdays and is the only one that does not close in winter; and the s'Alamera promenade in Santa Eulària started in 1979 and is set up daily except Wednesdays and Sundays.

From April to October the island fills with evening and night markets. Ibiza Town runs three: the port market, with 45 stalls and going since 1974, the ses Figueretes market and the one in the Plaça del Parc. Alongside them are Platja d'en Bossa, the Passeig de ses Fonts in Sant Antoni, Cala Llonga on Thursdays, Santa Gertrudis on Fridays, Sant Miquel and Sant Rafel on Thursdays, Benirràs on the beach itself and the Las Dalias Night Market.

For Ibizan farm produce, four markets open all year or close to it: Forada and the Sant Jordi second-hand flea market on Saturdays, Sant Joan de Labritja on Sundays with around a hundred craftspeople, the Sant Josep organic market on Saturdays from April to October, and the Sant Antoni cooperative market on Fridays.
