The Sant Joan de Labritja market fills the Plaça d'Espanya and Carrer de Mossèn Vicent Ferrer every Sunday of the year. It brings together around a hundred craftspeople and producers, and it is the Sunday market of northern Ibiza: the most rural and least touristy part of the island.
What is sold
Island crafts alongside Ibizan farm produce: organic fruit and vegetables, artisan cheeses, honey, preserves, jewellery, leather, soaps and clothing. The mix of crafts and food is what sets it apart from the hippy markets on the coast.
What the visit is like
It opens 10:00 to 15:00 and from midday there is live music, usually acoustic. It is a village market, with the terraces on the square as part of the plan, and it works the same in January as in August.
