The Benirràs market is set up on the beach of the same name, in the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja, the northern cove that best keeps the feel of the nineteen-seventies. It opens from June to late October, 12:00 to 22:00, and it is one of the few markets on the island you walk with your feet in the sand.

What is sold

Island crafts: clothing, sarongs, rugs, costume jewellery, bags, swimwear and leatherwork. Almost all of it made for the beach, which is where it is.

What the visit is like

The market is part of the wider Benirràs plan: the sunset drums, above all on Sundays, are the reason many people come down to the cove. The access road is narrow and the car park fills early in summer.
