The Forada market is set up on Saturdays on an open stretch of the old Sant Mateu road, at the Can Tixedó crossroads, out in the countryside of the municipality of Sant Antoni de Portmany. It runs all year and it is the island's benchmark farm market.

What is sold

Ibizan farm produce: fruit and vegetables, oil, honey, wine and nuts. Alongside them, craft and organic stalls with food, cosmetics and decorative objects.

What the visit is like

It opens 10:00 to 14:00. The atmosphere is part of the place: the farmers bringing in what their land gives cross paths with the craftspeople who keep the island's hippy spirit going. It is inland, with no beach nearby, and you get there by car.
