The Sant Antoni farmers' market is the town's smallholder produce market: four permanent stalls at Carrer de Madrid 12, on the corner with Vara de Rey, open Monday to Saturday all year round. It is not a street market but the place where the growers of the area sell what comes off their own land, day in and day out.

What is sold

Potatoes, tomatoes, lettuces, grapes, apricots, oranges, melons, watermelons, eggs and homemade preserves. Each stall sells its own harvest, so what is on offer changes with what the land is giving.

What the visit is like

It opens 8:00 to 18:00 and closes on Sundays. This is neighbourhood shopping, with no market hours and no season: it works the same in February as in August.
