Las Dalias is the best known hippy market in Ibiza and the only one on the island that opens every Saturday of the year. It is set up on the grounds of the estate of the same name, at kilometre 12 of the Sant Carles de Peralta road, inland in the municipality of Santa Eulària des Riu. The venue has been there since 1954 and the market takes over the garden and the arcades, under the trees, with the concert hall and the restaurant on the same grounds.

What is sold

Crafts and fashion by makers who largely live on the island: clothing and textiles, leather, jewellery and costume jewellery, ceramics, decoration and second-life objects. Many stalls are run by the person who makes the piece, and that is what sets this market apart from a resale market.

What the visit is like

Saturday opening is 10:00 to 20:00, and in winter the stalls pack up around 18:00. It is a long-afternoon market: there is live music and a bar inside the grounds, so shopping mixes with stopping for a drink. From June to September the same place also opens at night on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays, with a different feel and different hours.
