Platja d'Aro market is held on Fridays from 8:00 to 14:00 on the Masia Bas municipal car park. It is one of the big markets on the Costa Brava, and since July 2026 it has run on a new model: the council cut the number of pitches from 137 to a maximum of 87 and split the open ground between a parking area and a stall area.

The food section brings together fruit, vegetables, cured meats, bread, preserves and sweets, with several stalls from growers in the Vall d'Aro. The largest part is clothing and accessories — women's, men's and children's wear, underwear, footwear, bags, sunglasses and costume jewellery — rounded out by home and gift stalls: basketware, towels, table linen, sofa covers, kitchen utensils, toys and small appliances. The churro and hot food stalls set up by the entrance.

The market is at its best between 9:00 and 11:00, when there are people about but the heat has not built up. After midday it tails off and some stalls begin to pack away.

Cash is the dominant means of payment; only a minority of traders have a card reader. To park for free, try the surrounding streets before falling back on the paid car park next to the site.
