Maó's Mercat Artesà brings together, in the Plaça del Carme, craftspeople from the island who work by hand or with the tools of their trade. It is held on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 to 13:00 through the summer: in 2026, from 2 June to 29 September.

What's on sale

Menorcan craftwork, both decorative and for everyday use. As the town council describes them, these are one-off pieces in design and in the way they are made, and hard to find in ordinary shops.

Visiting the market

It falls on the same days and in the same part of town as the s'Esplanada market, which opens those mornings five minutes away, so the two can be visited together. The hours are short, three hours, and the Plaça del Carme is beside the market hall of the same name.
