The Capllonc market is one of the three night markets Ciutadella puts on in summer. It occupies the Pere Capllonc steps, the stretch that drops from the old town down towards the harbour, and it opens every day from 1 June to 30 September: Monday to Thursday from 19:00 to midnight and Friday to Sunday from 18:00 to 01:00.

What's on sale

The municipal authorisation limits it to craft goods, textiles and small-scale ornaments. It is a market to walk through, with stalls of costume jewellery, handmade pieces and gifts.

Visiting the market

It comes alive after nine, when the heat eases and the evening stroll becomes the plan for the night. The descent ends at the harbour and its terraces, so the walk leads naturally into dinner. Bring cash: some of the makers do not take cards.
