updated in September 2026
The Arrecife craft and produce market is set up on Saturday mornings, from 9am to 2pm, in the old town of the capital, with around a hundred stalls. Its usual home is the plaza de Las Palmas, next to the church of San Gines; since 29 March 2025 the stalls have been standing temporarily on calle Academia, between the church and La Recova, while the square is being restored — a Cesar Manrique intervention with double heritage protection.
What is sold
Produce from the island's farms — fruit, vegetables, cheeses, wines, jams and baking — alongside crafts, natural cosmetics, decoration and clothing.
What the visit is like
The morning usually has folk performances and cultural activities. It is right in the centre, a step away from the Charco de San Gines, so it combines with a walk around the lagoon and its terraces.
