Lanzarote has markets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The big one is the Teguise market, held on Sundays from 9am to 2pm in the old town of the island's former capital: it started in 1985, gathers more than 450 stalls and the town council reckons an average of 10,000 visitors every Sunday.

Costa Teguise runs three in the same square, the Pueblo Marinero designed by Cesar Manrique: the farmers' market on Tuesday mornings, the craft walk on Wednesday evenings and the Friday market. In the south, Marina Rubicon opens on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Playa Blanca marina, and Puerto Calero on Tuesdays and Fridays.

For island produce there are four more. Haria Artesanal has filled the village square on Saturdays since 2001, with basketwork in palm and pirgano; the Tinajo farmers' market brings the island's growers together on Sundays in Mancha Blanca; the Arrecife craft and produce market takes over the old town of the capital on Saturdays with around a hundred stalls; and the Uga municipal market opens at weekends beside the church. San Bartolome adds two monthly markets: the village on the first Sunday of the month and Playa Honda on the second Saturday.

For every market you will find here the day, the opening hours, the exact address and the next dates.
